What does the course cover?
An up close and personal chat with the Chair of Tangerine Communications and The Juice Academy, Sandy Lindsay (MBE), where she discusses the highs and lows of building an agency, how the platform has changed since she started her agency 18 years ago and in which direction Sandy feels PR is heading today.
What to expect?
Broadcast Presenter and PR Consultant, Michelle Eagleton hosts an hour and half online PR Masterclass with Sandy Lindsay (MBE) Chair, Tangerine & The Juice Academy sharing experiences and invaluable advice. The session ends with a 15-minute Q and A ‘hotseat’ where participants can pose questions to the expert.
Sandy Lindsay founded Tangerine in 2002 and put it into Employee Ownership in 2017, fulfilling a launch promise. In 2013, she launched The Juice Academy, a multi award winning digital marketing apprenticeship which has created more than 400 jobs for young people. Tangerine was the first PR company outside London to be named Outstanding PR Consultancy of the Year in the CIPR’s national Excellence awards, employs 80+ people and supports market leading brands including Specsavers, Pizza Hut, Dunhelm, Jewson and Ideal Standard. In 2015, Sandy was awarded an MBE for services to business and young people and the same year also saw her named North West Director of the Year (SME) and Highly Commended in the same award, nationally, by the Institute of Directors. She is Non-exec Director of the Rugby Football League, Northcoders and Flock and Trustee of a number of charities – oh and during lockdown last year, she launched another business: Vine Insights!

This event is supported by the University of Salford Arts, Media and Creative Technology School which is investing in training for the media and creative technology workforce. It is designed to support staff and freelancers to upskill and stay connected.
