Mastering the Technique of Compositing

The Pipeline (University of Salford) is delighted to be commissioned by ScreenSkills, the industry-led skills body for the UK’s screen industries to deliver a fantastic new regional training programme Mastering the Technique of Compositing in Film. This programme is supported by ScreenSkills as part of the BFI Future Film Skills programme using funds from the National Lottery and is open to applicants in the UK regions and nations.

The focus of the training is for disabled practitioners at early and experienced stages of their career within post production and who have been working within this area of the VFX pipeline for two to four years or more, who are keen to build on existing skills within the role of compositing. This is a highly competitive programme with 10 places available for 5 days of online practical and technical training leading to the completion of an asset. Following the training, five participants will be offered a 5-10 week paid placement with a post-production facility to build on their skills and work with industry experts.
