The Pipeline is a vibrant training hub based within MediaCityUK offering short courses to meet skills demands in the burgeoning content creation industries. We have a suite of courses (Audio, Career Development, Craft, Vision and High Caffeine Masterclasses) running with multiple start dates across the year as well as bespoke delivery of commissioned training.

We have secured a raft of ScreenSkills bids and are about to open applications for the following funded courses running 2021 – 2022:

Regional Step up to Production Management Training Programme for High End TV Skills. Participants will undertake a 10-day intensive online training course, followed by a 10-week paid placement within a High-end TV production company. Applications are welcome from underrepresented groups across the UK. Further details and application form here. Deadline for applications is 5pm Friday November 5th 2021.

Kaye Elliott, ScreenSkills’ Director of High-end TV said: “The High end TV Skills fund is pleased to invest in this important new training programme, and are excited to have commissioned the University of Salford to deliver it.  The programme will provide a fantastic step-up opportunity in a key skill shortage area for screen professionals. The paid placements are particularly key part to this programme, as it will give participants the opportunity to put in practice all they have learnt to help further their careers.”

Mastering the Artistry of Matte Painting for Film focused on people with a disability working within the UK Post-production industries running in January 2022. Participants will undertake a 5-day intensive on-line training course followed an opportunity to undertake a placement with a Post-production facility. Animation Trainee Finder Induction Bootcamp. Two day collaborative training event between The Pipeline Manchester Animation Festival (MAF) and Factory Create with industry practitioners delivering the journey of a script with full access to the Factory Create studio set-up. This cohort has been selected through ScreenSkills Trainee Finder application process and is not accepting further applications.
