Oman Case Study- Entrepreneurial Training
In 2019, The Pipeline collaborated with AWJ Innovation in Oman to deliver From Concept to Screen — a flagship part of the NextJadeer initiative, aimed at building the country’s future entrepreneurial leaders.
We worked with over 500 of Oman’s brightest graduates, all specialising in engineering, technology, biosciences, business, and management. While technically brilliant, many struggled to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world commercial success — a challenge limiting the nation’s innovation economy.
Our programme brought in experts from film, academia, and entrepreneurship to teach critical skills in idea generation, human-centric storytelling, and investor pitching. Over several weeks, participants learned how to develop technology solutions by focusing on human needs, not just technical features — and learned how to generate, develop and present their world-changing products using narrative-driven innovation.
By the end, students could translate complex ideas into compelling stories, craft solutions that met real market demands, and confidently pitch to investors and stakeholders.
The impact of our training allowed a new generation of entrepreneurial minds, empowered to drive Oman’s innovation economy forward — with the business, communication, and storytelling skills to match their technical excellence.
